  1. hello welcome to islamicadvice. there is nothin bad of islam. i can give you information on islam things like what the 5 pillars of islam is etc

5 Meanings of "ISLAM" As A Verb(Action): Meaning of "ISLAM" As A Noun
    Surrender 6 Articles of Belief
    Submission 5 Pillars of Action
Obedience Way of Life-Taught by All Prophets
    Sincerity (to Allah)
    Peace

    Surrender
This is understood from a verse in the Holy Quran
    where Allah says:
"Inda deena inda lahi Islam." (Certainly, the only acceptable way which Allah will accept is Islam).
    [Holy Quran 3:19]
This submission requires a fully conscious and willing effort to submit to the one Almighty God.

    Submission

"But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you (Muhammad, peace be upon him) as a judge in all disputes between them, and find no resistance against your decisions, and accept (the decisions) with full submission." [Holy Quran 4:65]

Total submission is required after the surrender and some terms have to be set forth by Allah to be understood by the Muslim. There can be no option in the matter as Allah says in another verse,
"It is not fitting for the believing man nor for the believing woman, that whenever Allah and His Messenger have decided any matter, that they should have any other opinion."
    [Holy Quran 33:36]

Whatever Allah and His Messenger have set out as being the Way of Islam is incumbent on the believer, man or woman to follow completely. One must consciously and conscientiously give oneself to the service of Allah.

    Obedience

"And obey Allah and His Messenger."
    [Holy Quran 3:132]

"O you who believe! Obey Allah and His Messenger and those of you who are in authority. If you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah and His Messenger, if you believe in Allah and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination." [Holy Quran 4:59]

"He who obeys the Messenger has indeed obeyed Allah, but he who turns away, then we have not sent you as a watcher over them."
    [Holy Quran 4:80]

This means to act on what Allah enjoins all of us to do (in the Qur'an) and what His beloved Prophet, Muhammad (pbuh) encouraged us to do in his Sunnah (his lifestyle and sayings personifying the Qur'an).
After surrendering your free will to Allah and then ratifying the terms and conditions of the surrender, it is obligatory for the Muslim to live up to his terms of the bargain. It is his or her responsibility to do their best to obey the orders of Allah set forth in the Holy Quran and the teachings of the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him.

    Sincerity & Purity of Intention

The heart must be clean and honest. Allah is Pure and He only accepts pure.

"Verily, deeds are rewarded by intention. And everyone will have the reward for that which he has intended."
[A saying of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him - Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 1 #1]

Sincere intention is the key to the success or failure of the Muslim. All that he or she does must be for the sake of Allah and not for the chance to show off or call attention to himself or herself. If there is even a speck of pride or showing off for the people instead of doing for Allah, then the whole of the matter will be rejected by Allah on the Day of Judgment. This is due to the fact that Allah wants purity of intention and purity in deed.

    Peace
    Between You & Allah
"Peace" is mentioned 58 times in the Holy Quran and it is certainly the most sought after condition for the life of every human on earth.

"Peace" is also one of the attributes which Allah has named Himself by in the Holy Quran:
"He is Allah beside Whom there is none worthy of worship, The King, The Holy, The Peace, The Watcher, The All Mighty, The Compeller, The Supreme. Glory be to Allah! He is above all that they try to associate with Him as partners." [Holy Quran 59:23]

We are all striving to achieve some sort of peace and tranquility in our lives. And providing that the other four conditions have been met, then this is the inevitable result of the one who is truly seeking Allah.
So as soon as he or she has totally surrendered and submitted and obeyed Allah, in complete sincerity and as a result has achieved total and complete peace in this life and in the next.

It does not imply that they will not be tested however. And this must be quickly understood. The one whom Allah loves, He tests. The person who will be successful in this life and the Next Life will be tested as Allah has said:
"Do they think that they will be left alone on saying, 'We believe and that they will not be tested'? For sure we will test them as we have tested those who came before them, to show (them) the truthful of the honest and the liars in their falsehood."
    [Quran 29:2-3]

Once we humble ourselves, rid ourselves of our egoism and submit totally to Allah, and to Him exclusively, in faith and in action, we will surely feel peace in our hearts. Establishing peace in our hearts will bring about peace in our external conduct as well.

    Islam is: 1) Beliefs & 2) Actions

Six Beliefs (Muslims must believe in the six articles of faith):

    1. Allah
    2. Angels
    3. Books
    4. Prophets
    5. Judgment Day
    6. Predestination

Allah - Believe God Almighty is One, Unique, Unlike His Creation, Perfect in every way; Not like or in His Creation

Angels - Made from light, follow Allah's orders perfectly, never make mistakes and are never disobedient (devil is not a fallen angel in Islam).

Books - Torah (Old Testament), Suhoof (Scriptures of prophets), Zabur (Psalms), Enjil (Evangel or New Testament), Quran (Recitation to Muhammad)

Prophets - Adam, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, David, Solomon, Jesus, Muhammad, and others mentioned in Books, peace be upon them all.

Resurrection - All people, believers and disbelievers will be resurrected for Judgment Day in real flesh and blood bodies to be judged.

Divine Destiny - Allah has complete control of all that happens, both good and evil and He has full knowledge of it all.

Five Actions (The Muslim must practice the five things):

    1. Shahadah
    2. Salat
    3. Fasting
    4. Charity
    5. Pilgrimmage

Declare The Belief That Allah is ONE and Muhammad, peace be upon him,
    Is His Last Messenger

5 Daily "salat" - The special form of worship of standing, bowing, prostrating to Allah while facing Mecca.

Fast Ramadhan - Not eating or drinking during the daylight hours for the month of Ramadhan (Lunar calander).

Pay Alms Tax - 2 1/2% of Exess wealth distributed annually to the poor and needy.

Hajj - Pilgrimmage to Mecca once in the life when Allah provides a way, and it is safe to do so.

Islam Is - A Complete And Total Way of Life
Islam is from Allah, The Creator and Sustainer of all that exists. As such, it is for Him Alone to command and direct His creation and He Alone is responsible for what He will accept and what He will not accept. It is also for Him Alone to decree what is good and what is bad and He must be the One to show the right path in all things.

Everything in the life of the creations of Allah, especially for those who have choices to make (us), must be dictated and clarified by the One who Created everything in the fist place. We understand from this that Islam must be a complete and total way of living, explaining everything in the life from beginning to end and from birth until death.

Islam is careful to remind us that it not a religion to be paid mere lip service; rather it is an all-encompassing way of life that must be practiced continuously for it to be Islam.

There are other injunctions and commandments which concern virtually all facets of one's personal, family and civic life. These include such matters as diet, clothing, personal hygiene, interpersonal relations, business ethics, responsibilities towards parents, spouse and children, marriage, divorce and inheritance, civil and criminal law, fighting in defense of Islam, relations with non-Muslims, and so much more.

In conclusion, we are forced to realize that ISLAM is a complete way of life for the human being. Everything is covered in Islam from birth to death to live in the complete submission to the Will of the One Who Created man in the first place.

ok thats the basics its best to know what islam means etc i know its long jus take your time if theres any question feel free to ask theres alot of lovely editors here are willing to help.

    peace....

  2. Hello confused,

There are plenty of Muslims who do bad things. But I don't believe there is anything bad in the religion of Islam itself. I have found it to be a comforting, wholesome and simple lifestyle. It gives good guidance for how to live my life. The daily prayers and the other rituals such as fasting in Ramadan help me to feel very close to Allah (God). And the brotherhood and sisterhood of Islam is such a powerful thing, it brings people together in a way that no other religion or teaching has ever done.

The most important thing you have to understand about Islam is the concept of "Tawheed". Tawheed means the Oneness of God. This means that Allah is the only One who has the right to be worshiped. We do not worship other human beings, or saints, or Jesus (peace be upon him), or any of the prophets (nor do we worship the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him). We are grateful to Allah, we recognize that all our blessings come from Him, we obey Him before all others, we love Him above all others.

  3. Assalamu alaykum,

The bad of Islam is nothing but a "bad" picture shown to you by the media across the world due to a larger international religio-political conspiracy against Islam and Muslim nations.

We do not know the truth of the matters of who does harm to innocent people. We believe what we are shown on Tv, because we are unaware of who manages the stage.

Secondly, the best thing about Islam is one you become Muslim and do good deeds and abstain from sins you have " Forgivness from Allah and Gardens of Eden" to live forever.

Islam was the religion of mankind from time immemorial, and it means nothing but to "submit" to "surrender" to the will of God.

Whatsoever He enjoins upon you, you do it, whatsoever He forbids you to do, you abstain from it.

It is in perfect snycronization with human psychology and once you start reading the Qur'an you may know that.

The Qur'an was the Message of Islam given to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by Allah, The God of mankind, to be delivered to mankind.

The Qur'an was revealed by a series of revelations which lasted for about 22 years. The Angel Gabriel, brought the messages and Allah knows best how he brought, but the Qur'an says : It is Gabriel, who has revealed it to thy heart". Meaning the revelation and messages were not in form of envelopes or scrolls, but in a way inspired within the Prophet by Allah by sening Gabriel as Allah's messenger to the Prophet.

The Qur'an was not written by the Prophet, but it was rather recited and committed to his memory and some of the companions wrote it down as well.

Contrary to what the western critics say, once you read the Qur'an, Insha Allah, you shall know for yourself that is the the Certain Truth, it is no poetry, it is not a speech of soothsayer like we have "babaas and gurus" today, nor it is anything with realms of human thinking to think, write and put in to words such an amazing text with beauty in reading, reciting, listening, and acting upon it.

    40. That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger.
    41. It is not poet's speech little is it that ye believe!
    42. Nor diviner's speech little is it that ye remember!
    43. It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.
    - Surah Al Haaqa

The Qu'ran itself is its best explanation and a wonderful gift of God to mankind. The Qur'an gives all answers to the questions raised by people against Islam, back then in 7th century and today in 21st century as well.

All the non Muslims, idol worshippers, Christians, Jews etc came to know of Islam and those that became Muslim did so when they heard the Qur'an. And to this date billions of people are benefitting by the Qur'an.

Hence the Qur'an holds tremendous importance in the religion of Islam and also in giving the life of the Prophet a Miracle by making him a "Light for mankind and a summoner to God" by His permission.

So your first introduction to Islam is the Qur'an, once you are through with the belief and ready to pray, you may contact us here again for further steps.

Also an important advice: If you have a boy friend or girl friend which is not allowed in Islam, it would cause some bit of distraction in your coming closer to God completely.

So best is limit this relationship to only the necessary communication, without any calling, further dating etc as this earns displeasure of God in plain terms and may not make your journey to Islam enjoyable.

If your boyfriend is a good Muslim, he will know that girls and boys in Islam do not mix like that. So if you both understand this, turn to God in repentance and for help and want to transform this friendshiip in to marriage then Insha Allah, Allah will help you.

But you have to practice some self restraint.

You may download Qur'an from internet with English translation. If you have any questions/ confusions, you may write to us any time and Insha Allah we would be happy to give answers.

I know all this seems a sudden block or full stop, but believe me to begin a journey, you have to drop lot of luxuries you get at home and take with you only some baggage which is necessary and not any other burden which would make you feel tired by carrying it's load.

I hope you understood what I meant to say.

One of my friends is interested in Islam since 3 years now and I explained to him many things whenever we met. But he has a Christian girlfriend, he is just not able to leave a girl and concentrate on religion fully.

So it is important to take some steps towards Allah so that He may make you know that you are sincere and this is why He chose you to come towards Him.

Interest along with sincerity is very important. I hope you are able to get in to your mind what I want to get in to your mind.

    25. Nor is this (Qur'an) an utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned
    26. Whither then go ye?
    27. This is naught else than a reminder unto creation,
    28. Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight.
    29. And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation
    . - Surah Takwir

So it is a reminder for whosoever wills to choose a way to God, but he/she cannot until Allah wills.

So sister, be ready, if you are ready for Allah to advance towards Him, He too will make your way to get close to Him easy.

But He is Al Quddoos - The Holy, The Pure and He loves the purifiers as He Himself is the most Pure. So Allah loves those who keep themselves clean, by body and by heart and turn to Him with a whole heart.

    Salaam.

Therefor give good tidings (O Muhammad) to my bondmen, who hear advice and follow the best thereof. Such are those whom Allah guideth, and such are men of understanding.- Surah 39, Az Zumar, verse 17-18.
