Nikah and pregnancy in shariah

Pregnant teen

Salam alaykum

I want to know Islamic rule regarding this issue. There is a friend of mine that is dating one lady for almost 6yrs. When dating reached 2 years he gave this lady praying mat, tesbiyu and the holy quran (all this as mahr) to stabilize their relationship, later both families know about it (introduction). And I told my friend to give her another mahr (bride price) and he accepted to do so but the process was delayed by his father in law. The lady's father in the presence of my friend and his father, he said "since my daughter accept to marry you I also support it and you have consent".

A few months later, pregnancy occur. What does shariah say about such pregnancy and about man and woman in question?

Jazakum lahu khairan as you reply.

It's not clear from your question whether or not the couple has had a nikah. Did they have a marriage contract, consent from both parties and her wali, and agreement of the mahr? Or do you mean that they were planning to do this but had a relationship prior to actually doing it?

Whether or not the child was conceived out of wedlock, the child is a blessing from Allah and is not accountable for any of the sins of the parents.

The parents should repent for transgressions that have occurred. It might be helpful for them to read our articles on tawbah and repentance. It's important that they start planning to take the best care of their child that they can, and they should get married as soon as possible if they haven't already.

i don't really understand your post. Do you mean the boy and girl didn't have a proper nikkah but did zina anyway??? Now the girl is pregnant??? If that's the case, they should do tauba, ask Allah swt sincerely for forgiveness and stop the communication immediately until they get married, that's if they decide to get married. she should of course continue with her pregnancy and also continue to repent for her sins.
