Sister’s marriage and black magic

Assalamalaikum,
I have lost my Father 5 years back, we are trying for our sister's marriage, but unable to get good guy for her. Please let me know as I am worried whether the black magic is done on our family.

Sister, I am sorry for the situation of your family. I know how it feels, as I have seen such a thing with my own eyes.
But this has nothing to do with magic / black magic, except if there are symptoms shown. If there is anything unusual happening, please write to us. Otherwise, you need not consider it to be black magic or any magic at all. Just trust in Allah. We Belong to Him and we will all have to Return to Him. We are answerable to Him for our deeds. So, just trust in Him and keep patience. Insha Allah, things will work out. Make sure all your family does regular prayers and does adhkaar daily. Read the adhkaar from the book of duas called Hisn al Muslim. Download here:

And remember, never have doubts that anyone has performed magic on you. This is very serious, learning and practie of magic is Kufr. So, beware. And do not give a chance to Shaitaan by doubting on anyone of having performed magic.

Finding a good marriage partner can take some time. Not everyone finds a suitable mate within a few days or even weeks of looking. Some folks are single for several years before they find a person who is a good match for them. I wouldn't start jumping to conclusions just based on the fact that finding a husband for your sister is taking a little longer than your family had hoped.

Agree with both advises above trust in allah i dont even believe in black magic this makes a person so weak that they even forget their own imaan and sense of direction to allah. Please be positive and stay with allah everything will happen for the better inshallah

Sahih Bukhari, volume 4, book 54, and number 490. The hadith reads as follows:
Narrated 'Aisha:
Magic was worked on the Prophet so that he began to fancy that he was doing a thing which he was not actually doing. One day he invoked (Allah) for a long period and then said, "I feel that Allah has inspired me as how to cure myself. Two persons came to me (in my dream) and sat, one by my head and the other by my feet. One of them asked the other, "What is the ailment of this man?" The other replied, 'He has been bewitched" The first asked, 'Who has bewitched him?' The other replied, 'Lubaid bin Al-A'sam.' The first one asked, 'What material has he used?' The other replied, 'A comb, the hair gathered on it, and the outer skin of the pollen of the male date-palm.' The first asked, 'Where is that?' The other replied, 'It is in the well of Dharwan.' " So, the Prophet went out towards the well and then returned and said to me on his return, "Its date-palms (the date-palms near the well) are like the heads of the devils." I asked, "Did you take out those things with which the magic was worked?" He said, "No, for I have been cured by Allah and I am afraid that this action may spread evil amongst the people." Later on the well was filled up with earth.

It's a great loss to lose
Your father...You are missing him which is quite natural afterall he us your father... my advice for you is to get some counciling &'deal with the loss as 5 years us a long time .. May Allah (swa) give you patience .. if you want your father to feel proud of you pls fulfull the 5 pillars of Islam .. & make your self a even better Muslim .. Do
Dua for him....As for your sister ask her to increase her reciting the holy Quran .. Read Salah, read ' astagfirullah Ul azeem' as much as possible to remove obstacles .. Goodluck!
