Islamic marriage advice and family advice

I’m young but I want to make my life better

Young woman looking thoughtful, pensive

My parents are Muslim, but they are separated. I come from a poisonous environment and I'm surrounded by such haram things. I have not been to an arabic school yet, and I have many problems within my life.

I don't know much about Islam but I have lost my virginity. I also went through a phase where I slept around with 3 other people. I think mainly because of the absence of a father in the home and nobody to show me caring and love, I was seeking attention from males in the wrong way and I regret it.

I would like to know if God will forgive me, because it is a mistake I truly regret and I want to know what I can do to better myself.

  1. ASSALAMALIKUM-
Amazing Quran Recitation 'Despair not of the Mercy of God'
    http://creatorstruth.ning.com/video/amazing-quran-recitation-despair-not-of-the-mercy-of-god-1
And of no effect is the repentance of those who continue to do evil deeds until death faces one of them and he says, Now I repent, nor of those who dies while they are disbelievers. For them, We have prepared a painful torment. (Surat an-Nisaa 4:18)
Allah also does not forgive one who commits shirk, which is the association of partners with Allah. Forgiveness will only come to those who die while adhering to tawheed and avoiding any form of shirk.

Verily, Allah does not forgive that partners should be set up with Him, but He forgives whatever is less than that for whomever He wills. And whoever sets up partners with Allah has indeed invented a tremendous sin. (Surat an-Nisaa 4:48)

Verily, Allah forgives not the setting up of partners with Him, but He forgives whom He pleases whatever is less than that. And whoever sets up partners with Allah has indeed strayed far away. (Surat an-Nisaa 4:116)

We must ask ourselves this question: Would we be willing to forgive anyone who hurts us and disobeys us constantly as easily as Allah is Able to forgive? Most probably, the answer would be no. But our Creator is the Most Kind and He is the Most Perfect.

Lo! Allah is a Lord of Kindness to mankind, but most of mankind give not thanks. (Surat al-Baqarah 2:143)
    five conditions of repentance,.......
In this Hadithi Qudsi, mankind is encouraged to seek Allahs forgiveness and repent, but there are five conditions of repentance, which must be met for ones repentance to be accepted. The first and most important is that the act of repentance be sincerely for Allah alone. Secondly, the person must feel remorse and guilt over his actions so much so that he wished he had never done it in the first place. The third condition is that the person must immediately cease performing the wrong and sinful act. Fourthly, the repentant person must have a firm intention to never commit the sin again. And lastly, the person must repent before it is too late, meaning before death approaches.

Allah, Blessed and Exalted, finishes the Hadithi Qudsi with the following words, O son of Adam! If you were to come to Me with sins that are close to filling the earth and you would then meet Me without ascribing any partners to Me, I would certainly bring to you forgiveness close to filling it. Again, the mercy of Allah is clearly demonstrated by His Divine Words. However, there is a condition. One must not associate any partners with Allah, which is shirk. And Allah does not forgive shirk and if one dies without believing in Allah alone as ones Creator, then he will be doomed to the Hellfire for all of eternity.

  2. ALLAH is most forgiving my sister.......

And most understanding because He is the Creator...

Jazak'ALLAH khair and May ALLAH bless you

  3. AsSalaamu Alaikum Sister

Insha'Allah your beloved Allah is capable of forgiving you all your sins, and certainly He will forgive you Insha'Allah. As you said it was a mistake and you really regret it, right!!! You know, our beloved Prophet Muhammed (s.a.w.s) out of his good thinking for his people (Ummah), he prayed and asked Allah to forgive us, whenever we do something wrong unintentionally. And Allah recorded that in the Holy Quran after He answered him.

Allah The Most Merciful says: "God does not burden any soul beyond its capacity. To its credit is what it earns, and against it is what it commits. (This was said by Allah after the Prophet asked Him the followings in his night prayers): “Our Lord, do not condemn us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, do not burden us as You have burdened those before us. Our Lord, do not burden us with more than we have strength to bear; and pardon us, and forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Lord and Master, so help us against the disbelieving people.” (Quran 2: 286).

And again Allah ordered the Prophet to assure his Ummah whom have mistakenly transgressed against themselves, that He Allah will forgive them all their sins.

However, one of the most beautiful and touching thing is that, despite that we are sinners, but yet Allah called us by a beautiful tittle. He said: "My servants" instead of calling us "sinners". And a servant of Allah is a person who got closer to Allah through worshiping Him wholeheartedly. This shows how Merciful our beloved Allah is, and how kind He is towards us, even though He knows we have sinned Him. May Allah forgive us Sister!!!

Allah The Most Merciful and The Most Gracious says to the Prophet (s.a.w.s):

"Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves: do not despair of God’s mercy, for God forgives all sins. He is indeed the Forgiver, the Clement.” And turn to your Lord, and submit to Him, before the retribution comes upon you. Then you will not be helped. And follow the best of what was revealed to you from your Lord, before the punishment comes upon you suddenly, while you are unaware. So that a soul may not say, “How sorry I am, for having neglected my duty to God, and for having been of the scoffers.” Or say, “Had God guided me; I would have been of the pious.” Or say, when it sees the penalty, “If only I had another chance, I would be of the virtuous.” Yes indeed! My Verses did come to you, but you called them lies, turned arrogant, and were of the faithless. On the Day of Resurrection, you will see those who told lies about God with their faces blackened. Is there not a place in Hell for the arrogant??? And God will save those who maintained righteousness to their place of salvation. No harm will touch them, nor will they grieve." (Quran 39:53-61)

My Sister, now that you have found your way back to your beloved Allah (Alhamdulillah), you should be ready to sacrifice yourself to obey Him through worshiping Him, and attain His complete love and pleasure. If you do so, you will feel happy in this life and the next through His mercy and forgiveness. Allah says: "The likeness of the Garden promised to the righteous: in it are rivers of pure water, and rivers of milk forever fresh, and rivers of wine delightful to the drinkers, and rivers of strained honey. And therein they will have of every fruit, and forgiveness from their Lord…"(Quran 47: 15)

Now my Sister, let us learn how to pray our regular Salaats.

First how to make wudu (ablution)??? Check it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4mf98qzeq4

There are five salaats we must pray every day:

    --1—Fajir. (It's 2 rak'ats/rounds)
    --2—Dhuhr. (It's 4 rak'ats/rounds)
    --3—Asir. (It's 4 rak'ats/rounds)
    --4—Maghrib. (It's 3 rak'ats/rounds)
    --5—Isha. (It's 4 rak'ats/rounds)

First download the prayer time, and then set the alarm according to the city you live in. When it's time for each Salah, the alarm will ring by calling the Adhan. And then you get ready to pray that particular Salah ok. Download the Athan Basic Free at:

    http://www.islamicfinder.org/athanDownload.php?lang= English

How do we pray??? We pray the amount of rak'ats according to each salah. In the beginning of each rak'at, you will recite Surat Al-Fatihah (Quran chapter 1), and then follow it with any Surat or verses from the Holy Quran, such as Surat Al-Ikhlas (Quran chapter 12) or Surat Al-Falaq (Quran chapter 13) or Surat An-Nas (Quran chapter 14).

As for the last rak'at for Maghrib and the last two rak'ats for Dhuhr, Asr and Isha you will recite only Surat Al-Fatiha without adding any surah to it.

Below is the transliteration of Surat Al-Fatihah:

    1-Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem
    2-Al-hamdu lillahi Rabbil-'alamin
    3-Ar-Rahmanir-Raheem
    4-Maaliki yawmi-d-Deen
    5-Iyya-ka na'budu wa iyya-ka nasta'in
    6-Ihdinas-Siraat al-mustaqueem
    7-Siraat al-ladhina An'amta 'Alai-him
    Ghairil-Maghdubi 'Alai-him wa la-d-dualleen

Also, you may want to learn to recite it correctly in Arabic, so follow the below links:

    2-Min sharri ma khalaq
3-Wa min sharri ghasiqin 'idha waqab
    4-Wa min sharr-in-naffathati fi-l-'uqad
5-Wa min sharri hasidin idha hasad

Here is also the transliteration of Surat An-Nas (Quran chapter 14)

    Bismillaahir-Rahmanir-Raheem
    1-Qul a'uudhi bi rabbin-naas
    2-Malikin-naas
    3-Ilaahin-naas
    4-Min sharril wawaasil-khannas
    5-Alladhee yuwaswisu fee suduurin-naas
    6-Minal Jinnati wan-naas

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arG1phK2vR8

Please download the 4 surahs and then put them on continuous play while you listen and learn. But please read the transliterations and master them first, before you proceed to the listening. And then when you master the listening well, Insha'Allah you may then read the English translation here: http://clearquran.com/index.html

Also, know that the three Surats (Al-Ikhlas and Al-Falaq and An-Nas) are safeguard for you Bi Idhnillah. Recite them 3 times altogether after Fajir and Maghrib Salaats, and then one time after Dhur, Asr and Isha Salaats. The prophet (s.a.w.s) said, if you do so you will be protected from all evils. May Allah protect you, and May He help help you!!!

Here is an example of how you pray as a Muslimah:

    Hope this helps Insha'Allah.

  4. AsSalaamu Alaikum Brother Wael,

I posted my comment here twice but it did not apear. Is there anything wrong?

  5. As-salam alaikum dear Sister,

First of all a hug to you.

Parents are supposed to protect us, guide us, take care of us, but when this does not happen for whatever reaons, like in your case, due to their separation, it affects severely the child in many ways like you have got affected. In absence of any guidance & protection, you went astray, in such situation being ignorant about the religion & its teaching, you became an easy target of shaitan. When you didn’t get love & care at home, you looked for the same in outsiders and made some blunders like losing your virginity. What you have been through, I can understand it all and its causes, your repent feelings and guilty about it all. now when you truly regret and wish to repent but are afraid of if you will be forgiven by Allah (Swt) , please know that Shaitan is again trying to play with you by making you doubtful about mercy of almighty. Shaitan is trying to fill you with despair and guilt that you lose hope in mercy of almighty and thus you can go back to old ways.

"O son of Adam, as long as you call upon Me and put your hope in Me, I have forgiven you for what you have done and I do not mind. O son of Adam, if your sins were to reach the clouds of the sky and then you would seek My forgiveness, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, if you were to come to Me with sins that are close to filling the earth and then you would meet Me without ascribing any partners with Me, I would certainly bring to you forgiveness close to filling it."

So, smile as Allah(swt) forgives those who truly repent to him. So just turn to him and ask for his forgiveness and guidance to make your life better.

I don’t know if you know offering saleh, if you then please start offering your saleh regularly, it will not only make you get (insha-allah) forgiveness from almighty, but it will take you to right path, it will calm you, it will connect you with your lord. No negative thoughts or people will trouble you. Brother Issah has given various links to learn about prayers and islam as well.

You are young but you have grown up enough to know what is right and whaat is wrong and now when Allah(swt) has guided you, now its you who has to turn things into good.

First just accept your past and forget it taking lesions learnt from it. Please know that we all make mistakes, no one is perfect. Its not just you but many of us have made blunders in life. Now just shift your focus on making your life a better one in light of Islam. Start with prayers, then learning about our relgion and pracitising the same. For example, its Eid ul adha time, learn about it and so on. Focus on your studies, if you are a student or take up a (halal) job to get finanacially indepdent. Take up a hobby course available around like learning Arabic. You can also learn (as well listen to) Arabic language and Holy Quran Sharif online. Do not let anyone take you for granted. Keep distance with those men (any such) who took you for granted (insha-allah with time, you will get a good husband) and focus on improving yourself and as a Muslim.

    Remember this

Verily, Allah will not change the condition of the people, until they change what’s in themselves." (Ar-Ra’d 13:1

So just keep going. Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities. Insha-allah you will be a better person as a Muslim and as an individual soon.

    Your Sister
