Assalmualikum

Dear Brother and Sister

Is the following link is authentic?

(Editor's Note: I deleted the link, because the "cures" and "amal" on the website are invented, not based in Quran or Sunnah).

  1. AsSalamualaikum,

The amal you mention, which has no basis in the Quran and the Sunnah, is a tool of Shaitaan, which he uses on the Muslims, by way of the people who pretend to have Islamic Knowledge.

Most of there people are no less than magicians, who have links with the Shaitaan himself. They take help from the Shaitaan to destroy the homes of the believers. We should abstain from such people, and from whatever they have to say. Instead, we should suffice ourselves with the Quran, and Sunnah, and the teachings therein.

Using of amulets or ta'weez is something majority of the scholars prohibit. This is because of the general authentic hadith that says that whoever hangs amulets has committed Shirk. People claim that there is a difference of opinion, but it should be clear that the most correct opinion is that it is Haraam.
The reason a person wears an amulet is so that he is protected, while protection is in the Hands of Allah Alone.

As far as your situation is concerned, please involve elders from his family, who could help him in the de-addiction from whatever he is addicted to. Also see if you can do something. The charm of a wife can sometimes do wonders.

Do a lot of duas directly to Allah, beg for His Forgiveness, His Mercy, His Help. Supplicate the daily supplications and many other prescribed supplications you can find in this booklet:
    http://www.islamhouse.com/p/39062

Make your home Islamic. Help your husband. Do not disown him. He needs your help, in order to come out of the traps of Shaitaan, and you have the ability to help him. Come on, take the Help of Allah through prayers, duas, recitation of the Quran and a lot of Sabr (Patience), and insha Allah, you'll find the way out.

May Allah Help you and your husband out
    Aameen

  4. We have to be clear about somethings. Bid'ah which means 'innovation' or 'invention' are of two types. We have the bid'ahs which are acceptable in islam, and we have the bid'ahs which are unacceptable and misleading... Bid'ah technically means innovating somethings into islam, ie somethings which the prophet neither did , nor did he give 'any form' of approval of doing such thing...
Thus we are not wrong to say the compilation of the koran into one place (in one book form) was a bid'ah, since it was not done during the prophet's life time and neither did the prophet instruct anyone to do it... Infact when abubakar was reigning as a khalifa, umar did instruct him to compile the koran (because then, the verses were written on rocks, stones, animal flat bones, leaves, animal skins etc., so there is the need to compile all these verses into one place- in the form of a book), but abubakar declined, saying he would not do something the prophet has not done. But umar insisted saying this is something that would be beneficial to all muslims and islam at large (ie it would be easier for muslims to make reference with the koran since it is on there finger tips, and the koran can be easily made accessible to everyone)... Although people might rightly argue that the prophet has ordained us to obey and follows his footstep and also to obey his 4 sahabas (abubakar, umar, usman, and Ali). So since they are the ones that compiled the koran, then it is highly acceptable...
But then what can we say to the wasal in the koran? The fataha, kisrah etc.. These were later added to the koran so that we, the non arabs can easily read the koran.. Any arab that knows his language can easily read the koran without the wasal. But it is impossible for the non arabs to read the koran or any arabic literature without the wasal been involved, especially when you dont know arabic as a language.. So thats why those wasal in the koran where their, to make it easy for the non arabs to be able to read the koran.. But the addition of those wasals is a bid'ah, since those wasals were added decades after the prophet and the sahabas died. It was even first done in iraq (and not in madinah or makkah)... But we all know that this bid'ahs are good and acceptable bid'ahs, and no muslim, i mean NO MUSLIM would ever categorize this as 'unaccepable' simply because they are been innovated decades after the prophet dead.!... So its easy for us to know that there are 'innovations' which are acceptable and there are 'bid'ahs/innovations' which are not acceptable... The bid'ahs which are unacceptable are those that contradict what Allah and his massanger has revealed, or those that do not help islam in anyway... So with this bro wael, could you please post the link so that we could see which class of 'innovation' those it belong to ??

  5. Brother Mohd,

The statement you make about 'good bid'ah' is something that opens a door to fitan, closed by Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Every bid'ah is misguidance, according to the general statement of Rasoolullah Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam from a Saheeh Hadith, ‏كل‏ ‏بدعة‏ ‏ضلالة
(Kullu Bid'tin Dhalaalah -all innovation is misguidance)
The general misunderstanding spread by the ignorant people in support of the innovations in Religion they make is that Umar bin al Khattab (Radiyallahu Anhu) mentioned the word 'good bid'ah' while mentioning a deed. Then know that the deed concerned was not something newly invented, but something done in the lifetime of Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. And the statement he made does not indicate something newly invented at all.

Secondly, the two examples you mention about the Quran. One is the compilation, and the other is tashkeel. As for the compilation, then we are aware that the writings of the Quran were already present, but scattered. And compilation was done, in order to make it easy and make the Quran available in one copy, for those who did not know it by heart. Need was not felt, until Umar bin al Khattab (Radiyallahu Anhu) saw that the Qurra' were reducing in number. This act was new for Abu Bakr bin Abu Khuhafah (Radiyallahu Anhu) because this need did not exist in the lifetime of Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi wasallam, as the Qurra' existed. And we know that Allah's Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was not al Allam al Ghuyoob, it is Only Allah. So, what was done was not a bid'ah. Read the following:

Bid’ah means seeking to draw close to Allaah by means of acts of worship for which there is no precedent (in sharee’ah). The Qur’aan was compiled in people’s hearts and it was compiled on tablets kept by some of the Sahaabah. Compiling all of it in one place or on one tablet does not involve anything that is to be
denounced. Zayd ibn Thaabit said – when Abu Bakr delegated him to collect the Mus-haf – I sought
the Qur’aan and I gathered it from pieces, i.e., leaves, patches of leather, shoulder- blades of sheep and camels, leaves of palm trees, and the hearts of men. Al-Qaadi Abu Bakr al- Baaqillaani mentioned the justification for the action of Abu Bakr, the five most important points of which were:

1 – That the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did not do that for a reason, and Abu Bakr did it because there was a need for it.
2 – Allaah referred in the Qur’aan to al-Suhuf al-Oola (the former Scriptures – al-A’laa 89:19], and He stated that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) had something similar in the aayah (interpretation of the meaning]: “reciting (the Qur’aan) purified pages [purified from Al-Baatil
(falsehood)]. Wherein are correct and straight laws from Allaah” [al-Bayyinah 98:2-3] So this [action of Abu Bakr] was following that which was prescribed by Allaah and His Messenger.
3 – By doing that, their intention was to fulfil the words of Allaah: “Verily, We, it is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur’aan) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption)” [al-Hijr 15:9] It was preserved with Him, and He told us that He would preserve it after it had been sent down. Part of His preserving it was His enabling the Sahaabah to gather it and to agree upon how its spelling and punctuation were to be regulated.
4 – The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) had scribes to whom he dictated it, so that everyone would understand from this that it should be written down and preserved on sheets. If Allaah’s guarantee to preserve it meant that the ummah would have nothing to do with it, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) would not have had it written down after Allaah had told him of His guarantee to preserve it. But it is known that the way in which Allaah has preserved it is by causing us to preserve it and making that easy for us,and showing us how it is to be written down.
5 – It is proven that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade traveling with the Qur’aan to the land of the enemy. This indicates that it was written down and that the people used to take it with them when they travelled. Abu Bakr ibn al-‘Arabi said: this is the clearest evidence for anyone who studies the issue.

    See Ahkaam al-Qur’aan, 2/612
    (islamqa)

Hence proven, that the compilation of the Quran was not a bid'ah.

As for your statement that tashkeel was a bid'ah, them know that tashkeel is a matter of language and is different from innovations in Deen. Matters of Luggah or language are something apart from the Deen. This was done, in order to make it easy for the people to read. You mentioned that Arabs can read without the Tashkeel. Are you aware that the Original writings of the Sahabah even did not have the dots, forget the tashkeel. Even many Arabs find it impossible to read them. I heard my Shaikh say that Shaikh Albani Rahimahullah used to spend hours solving such scriptures. This does not amount to bid'ah at all. This is a matter of the language.

Thus, the general statement of Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam closes the doors of bid'ah without giving any room for the so called bid'ah Hasanah.

Exorcism is a very serious matter, that may have very far reaching impact on the Deen. And matters of Shirk and Kufr are very common in it. Hence, the deletion of the link was a wise act. Mentioning the link may lead the ignorant astray.

May Allah keep us away from all kinds of bid'ah.

  6. What "hadija_1234 " told you was right, try to get him to treatment. I want you to understand that with the power of Allah, treatment can be a good opening to the possibilities that come with a new life of recovery, but treatment is just a start. You should have a family meeting on how to help your husband, starting the second he gets out of treatment, in order to get people to spend as much time with him as possible encouraging, and helping him. The first 3 months out of treatment are critical. 33% of people relapse with in the first 3 weeks of discharge and 68% with in 3 months.

Why am I telling you this? I see too many people put all their faith in the treatment center but totally forget about the power of family. If you have a family, you have that power available to you.So many times we think we don't have the , education, knowledge or experience to help our loved ones who suffer from this challenge. Remember, there was a time when there was no such thing as a treatment center, drug counselor, group therapy and on and on. There were just families helping families.

Alcoholics Anonymous one of the most effective and popular means of recovery was not started by a doctor or expert. It was started by an every day person who struggled with an addiction who used his knowledge, religion, and creativity to find a way of managing the addiction. Now people all over the world benefit from his program. You can make your own too.

I don't know much about the treatment industry in Bangladesh, but I do know that in the Quran and sunnah are tons of practical wisdom that you can include, with your personal knowledge of your husband to help him.

    Do this.:
    1.Get him to treatment
2.Start reading as much as you can about addiction recovery.
3.Listen in on some online/phone Alanon meetings online http://www.alanon.com for your benefit.
4.See if there are any Alcoholic Anonymous meetings in your area that your husband can go to when he gets out of treatment. Call treatment centers and ask if they know of any.AA meetings should be free.
    5. Go to http://www.lifering.org and have him listen in on the online meetings as he goes to the physical AA meetings.
    6. Develop your own system of recovery for him based on what you have been learning through books you have been reading, as he goes to treatment and AA meetings.

7.Get friends, family , students of knowledge anyone you can find who is a responsible person to spend as much time with him as possible in the first 3 months of him getting out of treatment.Did I mention how important the first 3 months out of treatment is?

    8. Develop yourself because a lot of times we spend so much time trying to help our loved ones with their problems we forget to take care of our own needs or the needs of our children. I want you to read about tawheed, dealing with stress and goal settings. It's not all about drug addiction, is also about strengthening of Iman, and self awareness.

9.Get a piece of paper and write down every single resource dealing with addiction in your country that is available. Write them all down from the ridicules to the professional. Then make some phone calls and inquire about each one. Then look at your resources and cross out the ones that you don't think are right for you and your husband. What you want to do is include as many options as possible. You don't just want to depend on one way of recovery. This is a mistake many people make. You want to include as many roads to recovery as possible as long as it does not include any weird things like shirk and polytheism.

    10. Beware of doctors who do not have certifications in addiction science. Most doctors are have little knowledge about addiction recovery. Doctor offices are a great way to get addicted to prescription medicines if a person has an addiction to something else.At least make your family doctor aware your husband is an addict. That way out of total ignorance he doesn't prescribe an addictive medicine to him for pain, sleep, anxiety or something like that.

But What if there are no treatment centers or AA meetings around me?

Do what Bill w did when he started AA. Use your knowledge and understanding of the problem combined with your spiritual, religious knowledge AND CREATIVITY, and create your own system. Sure it's best to have experts around you can seek help with. But if you don't have those type of resources around you should you just lose heart and give up? No. Do what you can. I hope something I wrote will give some options that you haven't thought about.

You can always call me through the number on my website if you need advise. I will help you as much as can. I hate to hear about women with a husband struggling with an addiction related issues, because it means the cycle of addiction may pass to another generation of Muslim children if we don't make jihad against it today.

  7. Assalamualikum

    Thanks a lot dear all.

Insallah I will keep patience and will ask help from Allah by my prayer, doa and by reciting Quran.
I have admit my husbad in rehab treatment many times. But he slip i mean takes drug again and again.
He has no willingness for taking any treatment. All times he says he will solve his addiction problem by himself. But he can't succeed coz it's not possible for any addicted to leave addiction without a professional help.
Now my husband doing a job. After so many years he get a job. In Bangladesh job market is so tough.
So i can't admit him again any treatment. I am doing a job but it's not sufficient to live with my earn. I wanna keep patience but some time lose my control when i see he is taking drugs at home that time quarell is a common issue. Sometimes he beat me which is very scary for my child. She get afrid and live with fear and ask every times will we make quarell again. But u know when I ask her whom u love best my baby says plz don't mind mom - I love my papa best.
As my husband is a addict he doesn't have much sexual apetite. Sometimes we don't having sex 15 days. may b in a month we make maximum 4-6 times physical attachment. He has no interset of it. So I can't tempt him by this way.
Again I will giving thanks all of you for giving me courage to fight with this calamit. Insallah this problem will solve with the grace of almighty Allah.
Please pray for me , for my baby and also for my child.

  8. One day Allah's Messenger (saw) noticed a Bedouin leaving his camel without tying it.

He asked the Bedouin, "Why don't you tie down your camel?"

The Bedouin answered, "I placed my trust in Allah."

At that, the Prophet, sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam, said,

" Tie your camel and place your trust in Allah" - Tirmidhi

    Lessons from this hadith

    Placing trust in Allah means

doing everything that is necessary for success!
