Sad about my past

Abu Hurayra (Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace be upon him) said, All my Community will be excused except those who are blatant. And it is from blatancy for one to perform an act at night and to wake up and tell something that they did such-and-such, while Allah had concealed it for them. They slept under the cover of Allah, and they rended Allah's covering from themselves in the morning. [Bukhari and Muslim
Asalamualikum.
I am 19 years old female. Three years back when I was 16 years old someone proposed and I accepted that relationship. We were together for two whole years and we both were really serious about our relationship.
We were always together and both of our parents knew about our relationship, but while I was with him for the first time in my life I kissed a guy (that was him) and later slowly, slowly I went on commiting sin. We did everything except sex.. and now when I think about it I really feel so grateful to my Allah.
Last year on July 1, 2011 we both broke up as he started adding new girls and he started to hide our relation ship in front of others which really caused me so much pain. That time I really understood one thing, I never thought about my Allah and His Messanger while I was comming ZINAA. I never thought how much pain did they get because of me, but after that incident I never tried to contact him.
Now I really understood and I really feel so happy in being single....Alhumdullilah....but now I really want to become a true, true, good muslim. I really wanna love my Allah and His Rasool [SAW]; I am really sad about my past but I really wanna change.

MashaAllah!!! now try to be among people who reminds Allah, but not those who keeps you away from Allah. Environment plays a major role in one's life. So be among good and pious friends, involve yourself with some volunteer work and apart from Quran and Hadith, read biographies of Salaf.
Completely disconnect yourself from non mahrams.
May Allah make it easy for us.
Brother indeed said righly, its the most common mistake which our young brother and sisters are indulge in and lo remember this is the easiest sin which we fall upon and which carries the grievous pain and affliction.
I pray to allah swt that he guides you always to the right path and also congratulate you that whenever allah swt wants good for someone he gives them the understanding of Islam. and the best way to increase love for Allah is to follow the sunnah of rasul(pbuh) ,read the biographies of the sahabiyah. and do not forget that the first person to be martyred in the way of allah was a women and the first person to be a muslim was a women.
Subhanallah you got saved from committing zinah and hate the shaitan indeed shaitan is an open enemy of humans.
Assalam oalykum wr wb
Assalamu Aliakum Khadu,
May you always please Allah (swt) and follow his path, may he strengthen your iman and never lead you astray.
As humans we all make mistakes in our lives and many sins but feeling guilty and regretting is part of the process that brings us to ask for Allah's (swt) mercy and forgiveness. May Allah (swt) ar-rahman and ar-rahim forgive all this ummahs sins and accept our repentance as he did of Adam (alayhis salam) ameen ya rab!
May Allah (swt) only grant you nice things in this dunya and in the everlasting akhira. Allah (swt) pure our hearts and remove all our black spots that gathers from sin. Allah (swt) make us of the pious and of the righteous ameen ya rab.
To Imane - Assalamu Aliakum Sister,
I just wanted to ask you who you were referring to when you said "the first person to be a muslim was a women". Who did you mean by this? and who was "the first person to be martyred in the way of allah" as you mentioned earlier. Allah (swt) increase us all in knowledge.
Jazakarallah and Allah's blessing be upon all your readers,
Sister R
I'm guessing that Imane is referring to Khadijah and Sumayya, may Allah be pleased with them.

Salam,
Jazakarallah Wael, so the first person to enter islam was a female muslim as referred to the previous post? "and the first person to be a muslim was a women" - was it not a male? or maybe im reading Imane's post wrong.
Allah increase us all in knoweldge,
Sister R
The first women to embrace Islam was Khatija(RA) and I think if I am not wrong she is the first person to emrace Islam as she was the one who gave comfort to our beloved prophet when the first verse of Quran was revealed and he shared only with her for the first time.
Ali(RA) was the first among males who embraced Islam.
Jazakarallah khairon brother for the reply.
May Allah swt blessings be upon the ummah and may we turn to him in repentence and have all our sins wiped away by his mercy. Allah forgive us and have mercy on us ameen ya rab. Have a good day inshallah.
Salamat,
Sister R
The Mercy of Allah in Regard to Forgiveness
"O son of Adam, as long as you call upon Me and put your hope in Me, I have forgiven you for what you have done and I do not mind. O son of Adam, if your sins were to reach the clouds of the sky and then you would seek My forgiveness, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, if you were to come to Me with sins that are close to filling the earth and then you would meet Me without ascribing any partners with Me, I would certainly bring to you forgiveness close to filling it."
In this Hadithi Qudsi, Allah gives hope to mankind more than any other narration. It displays the quality and attribute of Allahs mercy. Indeed, He is ar-Rahman, the Most Compassionate, and ar-Raheem, the Most Merciful. In this Hadithi Qudsi, Allah tells man of the greatness of His forgiveness and mercy so that no one would despair due to the amount of sins he may have committed. This is supported by the following verse of the Holy Quran:
Say: O My servants who have transgressed against their own souls, despair not of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surah az-Zumar 39:53)
This hadith teaches us the importance of realizing Allahs mercy, having faith and hope in Him especially when making dua, calling to Allah alone for forgiveness, and the importance of repentance in the life and faith of a believer.
Allah catches the attention of mankind by calling out, O son of Adam! This is a call to every human being. Why didnt Allah say, O mankind or O People? The significance of this specific call is because it was the first human being, Adam (alaiyhis-salam) who committed the first sin. Adam was an example to all humans of the consequences of sin and how to turn to Allah for forgiveness of ones sins. This gives hope that even after committing a violation, ones sins can be forgiven if one repents to Allah sincerely the same way that the father of mankind sinned, repented, and was forgiven by Allah.
