I was in love with Hindu boy; now I feel guilty. What should I do?

repent tawbah forgive repenting

Assalam O Alaikum,

I am a Muslim girl aged 17. I was in love with a Hindu boy but he used me financially and physically. We had sex and now I am feeling guilty; I just want to know whether I will be punished for this? What can I do so that no punishment is given to me on judgement day?

Wasalam,

I say , you knew from the beginning that you are doing wrong but still you let him use you . Promise yourself that you won't return to this path again . Break all types of contact with your boyfriend . Lastly and most importantly , keep repenting till you die . I hope you understand the gravity of the sin you committed .

What can I do so that no punishment is given to me on judgement day?

No one knows that . Only you can find out , when you will be face Allah .

Zina is a major sin, you must do tawbah immediately. You are young and have made some foolish but major errors but it is not too late for you to turn back and improve your character. Of those who sin, Allah loves most the ones who repent. So seek repentance, Allah says: “Say: “O ‘Ibaadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allaah, verily, Allaah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful". Al-Zumar 39:53-54

The conditions for sincere repentance are:
1 – Giving up the sin immediately.
2 – Regretting what has happened in the past.
3 – Resolving not to go back to it.
4 – Making amends to those whom you have wronged, or asking for their forgiveness.

Part of maintaining a sincere repentance also means making a positive change in your life so that you remove all those things from your life that influenced you to sin in the first place. So ask yourself - 'What can 'I' do to improve myself?
    - Do I observe hijaab? If not, why not?
    - How do I dress? Do I dress modestly?
    - Friends have a strong influence on us, so - Can I improve my circle of friends?
    - Am I too free with boys? Do I mix freely? Or can I improve my observation of our Islamic limits.
    - Do I pray Salaah? If not why not?
    - How can I actively become closer to Allah?
I won't answer these questions for you, as I want you to ponder over them yourself inshaAllah. I am sure you will find the answers most pleasing to Allah(swt).

Only Allah decides and knows whether we will be punished or not on the Day of Judgement. So we should do everything we can and know to attain Allah's Mercy. Allah(swt) says: "On no soul doth God Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) "Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith." Qur'an Surah 2 verse 286

We have been being taught in the Quran how to pray, here we are taught to say: 'Blot out our sins and grant us forgiveness'. Sister, to me I understand that 'blotting out of sins' means asking Allah to 'wipe our slate clean'. May Allah forgive me if my understanding is incorrect, but this is a beautiful dua to recite and to focus on. Find a balance between hope and fear my sister, as Allah says: 'Verily in the rememberance of Allah, do hearts find rest'.
